Modern Icon 1″ Summit Collar

Inspired by the heavy-duty tactical collars, the 1″ Summit Collar is a lightweight collar designed for dogs of all sizes with active lifestyles.

Modern Icon use lightweight but durable webbing, which is both quick drying and long lasting. A triple pass adjustment system allows for maximum adjustability while conserving space—providing more room for add-on customisation. They utilise a magnetic Fidlock® buckle and a heavy gauge welded D ring as a secure point to clip your lead. Sizes small though large also have integrated attachment points, compatible with most collar-mounted GPS tracking modules, allowing you to attach devices directly to the collar.

By default the Summit Collars do not have velcro on the exterior of the collar.

Please note that dogs performing apprehension, bite work, or dogs that need heavy-duty materials and metal buckles should utilise the Defender Series collars.

** There is an extra charge for the Multicam Classic and Multicam Dark webbing **

Price range: £36.00 through £40.00

More and more “science-based” dog training is starting to look less like science and more like religion.
Not a system built to develop confident, capable dogs that perform under real-world pressure, but a belief structure that isn’t to be questioned.

“For we walk by faith, not by sight.”
2 Corinthians 5:7

At this point, me and Sig are considering going fully faith-based.

“Blessed be the Lord, my rock, who trains my hands for war and my fingers for battle.”
Psalm 144:1

A huge win this year has been working with @cotswoldk9_ to get Sigs social stability nailed. Genetically shes from pretty civil lines with a very low social tolerance, impulsive and tonnes of drive. When she does dexide to act, its with full commitment!

Ace on the sports field but a headache that needs careful management off it!

I'd always been a bit careful of flooding as when things goes wrong with Mals it tends to be intense. Lottie has been ace guiding us through a process she knows very well and the week on week improvements have been jumps of 40-50% improvement. Not little incrimental wins and a management plan!

Lesson learnt, give the dog a bit more credit for its ability to work through pressure and adapt!

Still a few little flinches at the gunshot but a world of difference since she used to shut down and disengage. Training with it in my off-hand so hopefully by the time its the next trial, a gunshot 50m away shouldnt be an issue 🙏🏼🙏🏼
