Always thought the stories of Navy Seal dogs with Titanium teeth sounded pretty bad ass... not a position I would have chosen or ever really imagined for Sig, but here we are!
A bad accident with an offlead Doberman meant that both dogs took quite a bit of dental damage in an unexpected clash.
5 teeth removed, and the gumline lowered. It`s been a tough 5 weeks for Siggy, but it looks like we are finally home and dry!
New tooth tested out on the bite pad today, and she couldn`t be happier!
Fingers crossed for an accident free 12 months now!

Tough day with Siggy today. About 6 weeks ago, she had a bad accident with an offlead dog out of control. Although the clash was short, no one came out a winner. The doberman broke its canine teeth, and Sig took a lot of damage in her mouth, too.
3 weeks ago, she had a 6h operation to remove x5 teeth, reshape the gumline, and start root canal to try and save her large rear molar. Today, we had stage 2 completed that hopefully gets us out of the woods! The final stage of the root canal is completed, and the titanium cap bonded over the broken tooth.
Not going to lie, having titanium teeth does feel badass, but it`s been a painful process putting her through 2 big operations and having her not allowed to use her mouth for a full 6 weeks.
She can`t wait to start biting again, but for today, there is plenty of rest!
Pics from the operation are a little gnarly for instagram, but once she`s healed up, I`ll post the final results. Ultimately, I just want her to be a happy dog and get to express her genetics fully!

Good Whisky and Spicy dogs... both essential elements of a great life! I`m off Snakeshead K9 work and into London for the day job today. Back to a couple of packed days on Thursday and Friday, getting an operation on Sigrid (long story for tomorrow!), working on the website, sorting finance and meeting suppliers.
Hard work pays off, and every day grinding is another step towards the dream!

Last bit of product testing out in the Brecons with Sigrid. Given all the collar lights a real battering this weekend and looking forward to sharing the results!
Also been a great opportunity to put her new 1.5" Rigid collar from @moderniconk9 through a tougher weekend and I`ve loved the security if gives on some of the slightly more exposed ground!

Product Testing;
Beacon lights are an essential kit item for first responders with K9 companions. For years, I`ve used the Orbiloc lights as my go-to option, but this weekend I`ll be spending some time in the hills with my dog and my tent, to properly test out the best options currently on the UK market.
Whichever one wins will be stocked on Snakeshead K9 to ensure that handlers have the confidence to choose the very best product for their work, first time!
