Modern Icon 1.5” Rigid Collar
The main body of the Operator 1 1/2″ Rigid Collar is mil-spec Heavy Scuba Webbing. On top of the first layer, has been sewn 1 1/2″ mil-spec Webbing rated at 1,000 lbs as well as 1″ mil-spec webbing rated at 4,000 lbs to stiffen the design and add the additional strength and support required by our most demanding customers.
With all the same properties as 2″ wide rigid collar, this collar has been reduced in width to 1 1/2″ for those who have less space on their dogs necks due to the addition of other collars and training aids. The rigid design of the collar lends itself to use as an agitation collar and for general training.
The ICS Klick-Lock Buckle creates a redundant fail safe. This means both side buttons have to be depressed to release the buckle. To further prevent the system failing or unintentionally opening the buttons are recessed which prevents accidental unclipping.
This tactical collar is also suitable for wear and use on a daily basis giving the dog comfort and reliability with great style. It can also be used as an everyday collar on any breed of dog. Trust us the dog will never need another collar – built to stand the test of time.

There are many roads to Rome. My approach to building the "Out" starts long before my dog ever sees a sleeve.
I build it in tug. Two toys, short reps. Out is called, dead toy becomes live toy instantly. The payoff for releasing fast, is getting back in the game fast. The dog works that out quickly.
As the habit forms I raise the criteria. Pause between out and re-engage. Toy value varied. Eventually the game runs with everything she owns on the ground around us. The only toy that matters is the one I`m offering.
By the time the sleeve appears, the release is second nature. I`m not building anything new. I`m asking her to apply something she already knows somewhere the stakes are higher.
And because I haven`t built it with correction, she never reaches the point where she thinks: I want this so badly I`ll just take the hit.
That`s the foundation I want before I even think of asking for it on the protection field.

Dog and Bone
Lucky enough to catch x3 of the Rockwell B1 "Bones" returning to RAF Fairford on our evening dog walk yesterday. How many times do you get to proof your stay command under a supersonic bomber capable of carrying 34tn! Flew right over us and those turbofan engines really make the ground shake!
My background is in the Defence industry, and as an Engineer, high performance design, quality control and a zero fail mentality is exactly why I set up Snakeshead K9! Some missions are too important to rely on kit thats "Good Enough"!
Another sunny evening out with Sig tonight and letting her blow off some steam with a few bark and holds. All I`m aiming for today is her finding a nice square position, good eye contact not distracted by the toy, and a clean rythmic bark.
Loads of ways to get to Rome on this one and all have their pros and cons! Given the same dog and a do over, I would love to have tried building this up with a much higher defence drive component rather than pure prey drive.
Deeper bark, more intensity and pressure on the decoy and some seriously bad intent are all things hard to acheive while it feels like a game!
Started rebuilding the retrieve after years of neglecting this exercise! Sig was always super chompy on the dumbell (one judge asked me if I was planning to take it off her before she finished eating it!) and it really irritated me each time I went to fix it!
Finally stripped the emotion out from my side and got back to basics! Still gotta keep that ass on the floor for the throw and still got to get that 1 cheeky bite out as she comes into the front position, but a world better than where it was!
