Combat Systems K9 Tactical Harness

The Combat Systems full specification tactical harness is the single highest quality full tactical harness currently available on the UK market and was brought to Snakeshead K9 specifically to address a gap in products easily available to UK handlers.
Designed for maximum versatility, excellent thermal management and a range of full rated metal hardware. Genuine Cobra Snakebite buckles are used throughout along with full rated mil-Spec webbing.
The velcro placement allows for large ID panes to be added to the sides and back of your working K9 and also integrates well with out Nitecore NU05 LE curved velcro mount. Across the back panel, the laser cut Molle back panel allows for attachment of a wide range of additional accessories.

The harness features webbing clip in points that can be used to attach rucksack straps for easy K9 extraction. The zip sides make donning and doffing the harness quick and easy.
This harness comes with a quick attach swiss seat included as standard and we love the athletic fit that suits both Malinois and German Shepherds. Getting a great fit on a Malinois can be hard to find and this product was brought to Snakeshead K9 to specifically address an issue where I have seen a lot of full spec tactical harnesses fail.

This product is manufactured to order and shipped directly from the factory, so please allow a 4 week lead time for delivery.

A couple of my best mentors in the dog world.

@jhschettler from GAK9 and Anna from Follow dogs/GAK9 UK were both huge influences getting me into tactical tracking with dogs.

Originally, Sig was bought purely as a Sport dog, but after trying Mantrailing as a way to work Sig in drive through environments she struggled with, I fell in love with the game of tracking.

Contrasted to the precision and control in sport, while trailing the dog has freedom to use its full God-given capabilities. The relationship transforms from leader and subordinate to a team working to solve a difficult task together.

I think it's a change for life now that I've been bitten by the bug for trailing, and I'm sure the next dog will be starting its journey on this skill from day 1!

What happens when you get enthralled by the game of hunting people with dogs!

Without jumping into all the titles only on Kindle, these are some of the best books I have on tracking (with and without dogs).

Anything by Jeff Scettler is a must-have if you are serious about hunting people with your dog.

Also a really big fan of the book by @perry.mcgee on operational tracking with and without dogs. An absolutely comprehensive guide, and if I could only have 1 book to get me started, this would be it!

I'd love to know any other gems people might have for learning this skill?

Tactical tracking has and always will be my first love in dog training. Bitework and OB are exciting, but nothing meets the feeling of teamwork as you and your dog tackle terrain and challenges through a difficult track.

The uncertainty as you second guess yourself. The realisation that you are not fully in control. The acceptance that the only way to really be successful is to trust your dog... it's addictive.

Nothing in dog training challenges your ego and makes you ask endless questions quite the way tracking/trailing does.

My Fur Missile locked onto the decoy at today's bitework training session.

The @combatsystems full spec tactical harness is an awesome bit of kit, and is now available in the UK through Snakeshead K9. We stock only gear that has been tested to the Nth degree, in every possible scenario, to make sure handlers have gear they can rely on.

Today, the ventilated side panels were vital to keeping my dog cool as she worked hard in the heat!

Ready for a full day tracking and filming with the Sigrid! Justbin the process of testing out a load of long lines and making my mind up. I've been a hard-core fan of leather lines for a long time, only switching to synthetic when it's exceptionally wet/muddy. I just like the feel in had and the dynamic stretch that evolves over time and let's you really feel the dog on the other end. Recently I've started playing around with premium synthetic lines again and been really impressed, especially with the offering from @niggeloh_gmbh.

Keen to hear what other people are currently using and why?
