Modern Icon Riot Lead
This lead was designed for crowd control work, our 2 handle lead takes our standard lead design and incorporates a second handle at 12″, allowing the handler to keep their partner close in crowded environments or for use in man work training.
When not in use, our unique design allows you to tuck the extra handle into an elastic keeper. This prevents it from becoming a snag hazard, but still allows it to be easily deployed when needed. Made from heavy duty 1” mil-spec tubular webbing that’s strength rated to 4,000 lbs, it is quick-drying, mould and mildew resistant and extremely durable.

Little throwback to a demo I did with Sigrid. In this exercise the handler points out a target to the dog and stays still. As the target moves around the handler the dog is both keeping focus while also staying at the handlers side. If there is no immediate danger the dog just watches... but as soon as the target becomes an imminent threat, she self deploys to intercept and protect her handler.

Another big weekend completed and first time around the Fan Dance SAS selection route without Sig who was enjoying a rest at home.
I love booking this event in January as you can always count on the weather to add a bit of adversity and make for a memorable day out in the hills.
Working with high drive, powerful dogs and especially decoying, its so important to make sure physical fitness remains a priority. An annual blast around the Fan Dance gives me an unmoving benchmark that ensures physical capability never drops too far without being highlighted in the most brutal fashion!
